I fell in LOVE with Sydney the minute I met her. She was so full of energy and curiosity and such a sweet face. And even though she just started walking, she truly gave me a run for my money when she moved. Always a challenge in dim light! It was funny how many times this shoot was rescheduled because of the weather...maybe 4 or 5? it got to be a running joke between emails. I am so happy that we waited and ended up with the most perfect afternoon in San Francisco. I love the more moody shots in the grove, especially contrasting the soft pastel colors of sunset and twilight...that's what makes golden gate park such an amazing place to take photos: so much variety in close quarters. Thank you Sydney, for sharing your wonder with the camera.
XOXO

Simple Album Layouts
I think it's so important to live with your images, to print them, hang them, hold them on your lap. I offer two different album types here at the studio and the full bleed, modern layout is very popular. This contemporary look is also called 'magazine' style, although i tend to steer away from the coffee table books and only use the best book binding materials. Clients have the choice between a classic leather cover or soft Japanese silk. I keep all my album design in-house and follow the rule: keep it simple. I normally like to incorporate a lot of white space, limit the number of images per page, and use details next to people shots to avoid competition. Leather Craftsmen, Queensberry and Cypress are my album suppliers.
